Alabaster is one of the few stones that lets light through. Switch the Aurea on and the solid stone turns warm and luminous, its veining showing as if lit from behind. Switched off, it is still a beautiful piece of hand-finished stone on the wall.

The stone is the shade. The glow comes through the alabaster itself, so the light is soft and the material does the talking.

Do I need an electrician?

Yes. This light is hardwired, so we recommend fitting by a qualified electrician. It's designed for standard UK mains (220–240V).

What bulb does it use?

2 × G9 LED bulbs.

Can I change the colour of the light?

Yes. It takes a standard G9 bulb, so you can swap it for any colour temperature you like: around 2700K for a soft, cosy glow, 3000K for classic warm white, or 4000K for a brighter, crisper light. If you use a dimmer switch, choose a dimmable LED bulb.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, with a compatible dimmer switch.

Why does it take 3–4 weeks?

This piece is made to order rather than held in stock, so it's prepared for you once you order. Delivery is free. We'll email you updates while it's being prepared, and a tracking number once it ships where one is available.

When will it arrive?
